This basket is approximately 8 3/4 × 10 1/4” handle to handle x 2 1/2” and was started on a 2 3/4” handmade and painted pottery center featuring a cardinal . Both green and brown long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed darker needles for contrast. The stitches are wheat and wrap, with a decorative stitch on the handle. There is a hanger on the back.
