This basket was started on a 5” piece of hand made and painted pottery center, and features a cardinal. This basket is approximately 8 1/2” x 7 x 1 1/2” in diameter. Green long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed darker needles for contrast. The stitches are wheat, spiral, and wrap, and there is a hanger on the back.
