This basket was started on a 2 3/4” piece of handmade and painted pottery center, and features lavender that was pressed into the clay. This is approximately 7 1/2 × 7 3/4 x 1 1/2”. Green long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed dark brown needles and raffia for contrast. The stitches are wheat, wrap, spiral. There is a hanger on the back.
