This basket was started on a 2 1/2” oval hand made and painted pottery center, and features what we call tire tracks. The diameter is approximately 6 x 1 3/4”. Both green and brown long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed darker needles and raffia for contrast. The stitches are wheat and wrap.
