This basket was started on a 2 1/2” piece of hand made and painted pottery center, and features a cardinal. Both green and brown long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed raffia and darker needles for contrast. This is approximately 8 5/8 x 9 7/8” handle to handle x 2 ”. The stitches are wheat, wrap ,spiral, and a decorative stitch on the handles. There is a hanger on the back.
