This basket was started on a 3” piece of hand made pottery center featuring a Chickadee. This is 9 1/4” in diameter and 3/4” high. The stitches used are wheat, wrap, and spiral. Both brown and green long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed darker needles for contrast. There is a hanger on the back.
