This trivet was started on a 2” piece of hand made and painted pottery center, and features a humming bird. Green long leaf pine needles were used along with some darker dyed needles for contrast. The diameter is approximately 6 3/4”. The stitches are wheat, wrap, and fern. These make great hot pads!
