This basket was started with a 2 1/2” oval handmade and painted pottery center, and features a pine bough. Green long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed darker needles for contrast. The stitches are wheat, wrap, and a decorative stitch was used on the handles. This basket is approximately 6 5/8 × 8 × 2 1/4”. There is a hanger on the back.
