This trivet was started on a 2” round piece of hand made and painted piece of pottery featuring a seahorse. Both brown and green long leaf pine needles were used along with some dyed darker needles for contrast. The stitches are wheat, wrap, and fern. This is approximately 6 7/8” in diameter. These trivets make great hot pads!
